Thieves broke into the Znovar base in the Golan Heights tonight (between Friday and Saturday), and stole a large amount of weapons and ammunition from there.
"Israel Today" learned that the thieves entered and left without any of the soldiers on the spot noticing them, broke into the armory and stole many items.
The theft was discovered only in the morning.
A gag order was placed on the details of the investigation.
An IDF spokesperson said: "Military ammunition was stolen from an IDF base in the north of the country. The circumstances of the theft are being investigated by the investigating military police, and upon completion of the investigation, the findings will be forwarded to the military attorney's office for examination."
